This training will accompany designers into conceiving new shapes with generative algorithms. We will start with a theoretical and functional understanding of the graphical algorithm editor, and then dive into more complex parametric models. We’ll also learn tricks to keep our project responsive and enjoyable to use.

In this comprehensive 4-day class you'll be using RhinoGold 2.0 as the modeling application and Brazil for Rhino as the Rendering application. Basic Rhino knowledge is required. The course is divided into 2 full days of RhinoGold training and 2 days of Brazil training. The course is designed to reduce the learning curve difficulty, and to provide the designer with a forward push into the digital jewelry design and the high end rendering.

In this intensive 3-day workshop you will learn how to extend Rhino’s functionalities and your user experience through creating and executing scripts. This class covers the basics of Visual Basic Script [vbScript] the main scripting language used within the Rhino environment. Participants will learn about using variables, arrays, conditional statements, looping, and custom functions in order to exploit the scripting functionality embedded into Rhino.

To accomplish more with Grasshopper, this training will investigate scripting components to tinker complex, interactive solutions with the .NET SDK. We will explore programming paradigms like arrays, lists, recursive and incremental analysis. Class will use VB.NET and C# will be supported. A good foundation of Grasshopper visual programming is required. Additionally, we will see how to get started writing .NET plug-ins.
